Infrastructure Engineering

Following the highways viability work undertaken at Planning Application stage, the details need to be developed to a point at which they can be submitted to the Local Highway Authority for adoption under the relevant Sections of The Highways Act 1980. TWP have a long track record of Infrastructure Engineering, working in line with these requirements on numerous schemes.

Under current legislation, Planning Applications must now be accompanied by details of a co-ordinated design for both the highways and drainage (site infrastructure) provision. Continued requirements to improve the environmental impacts on all new developments have led to the increased need to incorporate SUDS (Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems) within our designs, in order to receive the necessary approvals from the relevant authorities. Starting with Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) on proposed development sites, through to surface water attenuation schemes and flow control devices, our Drainage Department are fully versed in all required solutions.
