About Us

TWP (The Willocks Practice Limited) are a private Consultancy of Structural, Civil, Infrastructure and Transportation Engineers based in the centre of Exeter. The company is a member of the Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE), Steel Construction Institute (SCI), Timber Research and Development Association (TRADA) and is also ISO 9001 Quality Assurance accredited.

The business was established in Exeter by former owner Syd Willocks in 1986, following his return to Devon after running a successful engineering partnership in South Wales.

The current Directors, Nick Drew & Bob Andrews, have jointly accrued over 50 years’ experience with the company. Having been through two industry-wide recessions during that time, TWP have demonstrated great resilience in challenging market conditions, and continue to go from strength to strength.

Wide ranging experience has been gained in a number of key market sectors, including: commercial, industrial, residential, education, leisure and healthcare, with a large catalogue of satisfied clients ranging from international ‘blue-chip’ companies to individual property owners. The close working relationships we form with our clients has resulted in a high proportion of repeat commissions.

The aim of the business is to promote a continuing development of both staff and the technology we use; constant investment in Information Technology and Design Software Applications is considered an integral part of the company’s operation and ethos. This enables us to provide the best solution to the unique challenges posed by each project and the needs of the individual client.

We have worked with TWP Engineers on a variety of projects over the past ten years and would have no hesitation in recommending them. No matter how big or small the project they have the skills to help and are always competitive on fees whilst providing a comprehensive service.” Rob Hilton, Hilton Barnfield Architects

They have provided a practical approach with pragmatic solutions for each scheme. We would have no reservations in recommending their service and look forward to continuing our work with them.” Darren Goodland, Technical Manager, Cavanna Homes
